Why OI Digital Institute?

We provide students with high-quality online education courses. We pride ourselves on offering flexible study options tailored to your needs and recognised by leading Higher Education institutions and professional bodies.

How we're different

Our mission is to create access to education and provide more opportunities for students to achieve their higher education goals worldwide. We believe that online learning can and should be more than reading pages of text and watching videos of a person who you’ve never met and probably never will. Real people, real teachers and genuine contact can make a good experience great. And we should know, as part of Oxford International, we’ve been helping international students achieve exceptional results for 30 years.

What our students say?

We create our courses with students in mind. We look at helping you to achieve results while also enjoying the experience of learning. As such, we regularly receive great feedback from our students, and we use this to find ways to always do more for you while you’re studying with us. Hear more about what our students have to say…

Entry requirements

To successfully apply and participate you must be at least 18 years old and meet the entry criteria.
It is not essential to:
· Be a native English speaker
· Understand a foreign language
· Have any prior teaching experience

A copy of your most significant academic certificate because it is a Trinity College stipulation that proof of qualifications is rigorously checked.
The capability to cope with the academic requirements of the course. This may mean having a university degree, or the academic qualifications that would have enabled you to get accepted on to a degree course.
The skills to fluently and accurately communicate in spoken and written English. If English is not your native language, we require an IELTS score of 7.0 (or equivalent) in each of the four skills. If English is your native language, you need to have a GCSE in English (grade C minimum) or equivalent.
If you don't meet the requirements above, we may need to see evidence that you have an awareness of relevant transferable skills that have been acquired through work experience.

Students and professionals use OI Digital Institute

The level of teaching, experience and patience from the course providers was absolutely incredible. It was intense, there was a lot to learn in a short space of time, but it was structured to ensure it was taught and consumed at an attainable pace. It was extremely rewarding.
Dan Parkinson
I enjoy studying with my classmates, because we make progress together, give feedback together, and have made good memories. The teachers are also very good, they take good care of our study and life, and give us good guidance.
Zheng Langxing
My experience in the OPSE course was amazing. Also, I am grateful to the teacher for her efforts and how she made my journey unbelievable. I improved in many aspects and I learnt many things. Moreover, I feel so satisfied and happy about how the school helped me to achieve my goals
Said Almamari
I now feel confident and capable to teach not only in person but in online spaces thanks to their guidance. I highly recommend the Trinity CertTESOL through the OI Digital Institute!
Leane Meiring
This course helped to systematise my knowledge of English grammar and phonology as well as gave me some important tips on the teaching methods and techniques. The most valuable tip was how to maintain the balance between student talking time and teacher talking time. Might sound easy, but it's not!
The tutors support was excellent, both Jane and Lenka put a lot of effort and created the most welcoming atmosphere with very interesting input sessions, provided detailed guidance and support with the lesson planning, demonstrated delivery of high-quality lessons & gave very personalised feedback.
Alyona Jasper
The tutors were very supportive and encouraging at all times throughout the course, which really helped me get through this super-intensive 4 weeks. Thank you so much, Lenka, Jane and Amanda! The qualification has given me more options and confidence in looking for TEFL jobs around the globe.

Frequently asked questions

The Oxford International Teacher Training team is a team of dedicated education professionals passionate about languages and teaching. Our trainers are highly qualified experts in their field and have a wealth of experience teaching in a face-to-face setting as well as online. They are here to guide you and help you with every step of the way.

Oxford International is accredited by Trinity College London to deliver the Certificate in TESOL.

Essentially, they are acronyms referring to the same area of education: TESOL stands for Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, TEFL stands for Teaching English as a Foreign Language.

There is a shortage of qualified EFL teachers abroad, so completion of the course should provide you with excellent employment prospects in the current marketplace.

If you intend to do any form of paid work while studying on the course, you should not enrol on a full-time course. Full-time daily attendance is required and you will also need to do written work each evening.

While courses leading to an award of other qualifications exist, they are often very limited in recognition and are not accredited by an independent examinations board. They are therefore essentially a certificate from the school and have limited worth as an aid in acquiring teaching positions globally.

This is what makes the Trinity CertTESOL particularly valuable. Employers also value any practical experience you will have after the course. The CertTESOL will provide you with 6 hours of real teaching experience.
