How to measure your progress against the standardised English proficiency (CEFR) scale
Students at the Elementary to Intermediate Plus levels will complete the General English programme. Upon reaching a B2 CEFR level of English, students can progress to OIDI’s Academic English courses, including the Online Pre-sessional English programme.
If you’re looking to improve your English proficiency through a pathway programme for admission to universities or higher education institutions in the UK or Canada, we can also support you throughout the admissions process and help you secure a place at one of our partner universities.
We offer the flexibility to learn English online with our accredited and experienced English teachers. We have three 90-minute sessions per week, held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
There are no specific entry requirements for General English. However, students should be at least 16 years of age or older.

If you don’t know your current English Level, we will provide you with a Spotlight placement test upon registration.
The general English course will focus on the building blocks of language, such as grammar and vocabulary, as well as development of all language skills: speaking, writing, listening, and reading. The course will use modern teaching methods to maximise your learning opportunities and allow you to become a more confident and a proficient language user.

Group Sessions: The minimum subscription period for our general English group course is 2 weeks. However, depending on your current ability and desired outcome, you can enrol for a longer duration. We offer courses for each level.
