How to measure your progress against the standardised English proficiency (CEFR) scale

Our General English programme covers levels from Elementary to Advanced (A2–C1) and can be joined at any point, depending on your current level of English.

If you’re looking to prepare for admission to a university or higher education institution in the UK, Canada or the USA, we also offer Online Pre-Sessional English courses from B2 level onwards.

Course Details

We offer the flexibility to learn English online with our accredited and experienced English teachers. Choose from Full-time, Part-time or One-to-one course options, and select the number of weeks you’d like to study.

There are no specific entry requirements for General English. However, students should be at least 16 years of age or older.

You can study General English for as many weeks as needed to achieve your goals. If you are not sure about your current level, customised study plans are available to suit your learning needs. In addition, regular meetings with your tutor provide opportunities to assess your progress, receive personalised study recommendations, and support you throughout your learning journey.

If you don’t know your current English Level, we will provide you with an Oxford ELLT Spotlight placement test upon registration.

The general English course will focus on the building blocks of language, such as grammar and vocabulary, as well as development of all language skills: speaking, writing, listening, and reading. The course will use modern teaching methods to maximise your learning opportunities and allow you to become a more confident and a proficient language user.

Group Sessions: The minimum subscription period for our general English group course is 2 weeks. However, depending on your current ability and desired outcome, you can enroll for a longer duration. We offer courses for each level.

1-1 Classes: We recommend a minimum of 4 weeks with 3 hours per week for our 1-1 classes. If you need to extend your course, our teacher training team can provide further support and guidance to accommodate your requirements.
