Improving education accessibility with RefuAid

Through OI Digital Institute, Oxford International has adapted our 30 years of in-person teaching expertise to the online environment, and we now deliver our class-leading education courses online. Developing our online programmes reduces the barriers to quality education and helps us reach a wider student audience.

In Partnership

We have partnered with RefuAid, a not-for-profit organisation that support refugees and asylum seekers in the UK with access to English language tuition, meaningful employment, finance and requalification. As part of this partnership, we offer a number of RefuAid’s healthcare client’s access to our preparation course for the Occupational English Test (OET). This course helps overseas qualified healthcare professionals prepare for the OET for Medicine language exam, a requirement for registering with the General Medical Council and gaining employment within the UK healthcare system. With RefuAid, we have been able to expand the reach of this course and support refugee healthcare professionals in beginning the first steps of their medical requalification here in the UK.

Preparation Course for OET

Our preparation course helps students develop their language skills in the four main skills areas; reading, writing, listening and speaking. With industry and skills-based training, the course prepares students for using their English language to communicate effectively with colleagues and patients in the workplace. By providing exam-taking techniques and exam practice, our preparation course also helps students feel more confident approaching their OET and gaining the score they require for employment in a medical facility.

We are proud to support healthcare professionals worldwide and help prepare them for their future careers. As we help improve people’s language skills in healthcare, we continue to work towards our vision of a future where people can Learn without Limits.
