Free Online English Courses for Refugees

Free Online English Courses for Refugees

To support displaced people and those fleeing the war in Ukraine, OI Digital Institute is offering two free English language courses, English for Culture and English for Business. This announcement reflects our commitment to providing access to learning without limits.

All students will have free access to our Virtual Learning Campus (VLC). The VLC gives students additional self-guided learning courses set by their teacher to help them build confidence in their language skills. On completion, all students will receive a certificate of completion. If students wish to have their language formally evaluated, they are welcome to take our English Language Level Test during the fourth week of their course.

All content and classes will be easily available online through a smartphone, tablet, or laptop. With over 30 years of experience delivering English education to international students, Oxford International understands the challenges of adjusting to a new culture and language.

The English for Culture course is designed for beginners to intermediate levels. It will help students enhance their English proficiency covering:

  • Life in the UK
  • Daily tasks and services
  • Traditions and meanings
  • Cultural awareness, media analysis and discussion, and debate.

The English for Business course is aimed at intermediate to upper-intermediate students and is designed to prepare students for working life. Topics will include:

  • Digital marketing
  • Corporate responsibility
  • Interview and negotiation techniques.
