Upon successful completion of your pre-sessional English course you will be able to progress to your studies at the University of Roehampton.
Our online Pre-Sessional English course will improve your understanding and use of the English language and academic skills for university-level study. At the end of your course you will have improved in the following areas:
Write opinion essays on a variety of topics and develop writing process strategies to produce coherent texts.
Demonstrate a thorough reading comprehension using a variety of reading subskills and the ability to think critically when responding to a variety of texts.
Express oneself effectively and improve presentation skills.
Have a greater understanding of vocabulary and to be able to actively following listening input and take notes.
Know how to navigate digital tools such as a VLE and communicate with peers and teachers online.
Gain the ability to work collaboratively with peers, evaluate one’s work critically and engage actively in academic settings.

Students will take an online assessment of all four language components. Additionally you are assessed throughout the course with presentations and essay tasks. More details can be found in your student guide
All teaching will take place on campus; you will be sent classroom details before the start of your course.
All students are sent a welcome back with instructions before the course begins. This will include log-in details for the online components.
