Course Description
The Online Pre-Master’s Programme in Business and Management is a master’s degree preparation programme. It equips you with subject-specific knowledge, academic study skills and academic English skills needed to complete postgraduate study at university in the UK.
Programme Structure
Delivered Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 17:00 UK BST in small groups. Lessons are made up of the following:
One Term
English level of a minimum of IELTS 6.0 in reading and writing (no component below 5.5) .
Two Term
English level of a minimum of IELTS 5.5 in reading and writing (no component below 5.5).

Who is this programme for?

You are an international student who does not have the academic or language qualifications for direct entry onto a Master’s Degree in the UK.
Successful completion of this programme will be recognised for progression onto a range of specified Business and Management related Master’s Degree options at a range of universities in the UK (subject to agreement).
How is the programme structured?
8 hours of video lessons and self-study tasks a week
10 hours of live lessons a week
One personal tutorial twice a term

Entry Requirements, Dates & Modules
Entry onto the programme requires completion of an undergraduate degree from a recognised university or equivalent.
The programme has the following English language requirements:
• One-term – IELTS 6.0 (no component below 5.5)
• Two-term – IELTS 5.5 (no component below 5.5)
If students do not meet the English language requirement to join the two-term programme, OIEG also offers an online Pre-sessional English Programme.

What to expect on this course?
This module aims to introduce and develop English skills directly relevant to the academic study of Business and through academic business investigation.
This module aims to introduce students to the structure, demands and expectations of postgraduate study in business in the UK.
This module aims to develop understanding of some of the key activities and functions associated with establishing and managing a business.
This module aims to introduce economic theories and systems and relates these to the environment within which businesses function.
