Who is this course for?
This course is designed for students who are already in a care setting or have secured a work placement in adult social care. You should meet the following requirements.
Placement: Current employment or a secured placement in a care home setting is required. Assessments will be conducted at your placement location.
Mentor: You will need a qualified Assessor or Expert Witness who can observe your work and provide written testimony in English. This individual must be available for online meetings with our UK-based Tutor.
The specific requirements for your mentor will depend on whether they are a qualified Assessor or an Expert Witness (see table below for details).

Qualifications | Holds one of the following qualifications:

Holds one of the following:
·Any qualification in assessment of workplace performance ·A work role that involves evaluating the everyday practice of staff |
Experience | 2+ years of experience working in adult social care and demonstrating occupational competence. | 2+ years of experience working in adult social care with a proven track record of competence in your role. |
Spoken English | Able to participate in an interview with a UK assessor to discuss your observations. | Able to participate in an interview with a UK assessor to discuss your observations. |
