Oxford International Digital Institute’s Online Pre-Sessional English programme receives second NEAS endorsement

Oxford International Digital Institute’s Online Pre-Sessional English programme receives second NEAS endorsement

We are proud to announce that the Oxford International Digital Institute (OIDI)’s Online Pre-Sessional English (OPSE) course has been officially endorsed by NEAS (National ELT Accreditation Scheme) as a quality product for a second time, reaffirming the programme’s quality and effectiveness in preparing international students for higher education.

NEAS is a globally recognised quality assurance organisation for the English Language Teaching (ELT) sector, providing independent accreditation and endorsement services that highlight excellence and continuous improvement across educational providers and products.

OPSE is our modular English language preparation course, which helps international students improve their English proficiency level and build their academic skillset to match the language requirements of their chosen university. The programme, which is undertaken fully online, offers flexible study routes supporting students progressing to undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.

As part of the endorsement process, OPSE underwent a comprehensive quality review against the NEAS Quality Assurance Framework, including Quality Areas A (Teaching, Learning and Assessment), C (Resources and Facilities) and H (Online Delivery). The review recognised the programme’s strong academic preparation focus, structured curriculum design and effective use of online learning technologies.

The NEAS Endorsement Committee said:

“NEAS has endorsed Oxford International’s Online Pre-Sessional English (OPSE) course following a comprehensive quality review. The programme was recognised for its well-structured online delivery model, strong academic preparation focus, integrated assessment design, and effective use of interactive learning technologies. “

The review highlighted several strengths across the programme, including its well-developed curriculum aligned to academic preparation outcomes, blended approach to live and independent learning, structured assessment framework and strong support for learner autonomy. NEAS also recognised the programme’s engaging online learning environment, personalised learner support, collaborative learning opportunities and extensive use of digital platforms to enhance student engagement and success.

Kamila Dolejsi, Academic Director at Oxford International Digital Institute, said:

“Receiving NEAS endorsement for a second time reflects the strength of our academic model and our ongoing commitment to quality in online learning. OPSE is designed to equip students with the language skills, academic confidence and study habits they need to succeed in higher education.”

Gary Palmer, Managing Director of Oxford International Digital Institute, added:

“I am delighted that NEAS have recognised the quality of our academic programmes; this continues to give confidence to all of our partners that students are being prepared in a robust and engaging experience, and most importantly giving them the best possible start to their degree-level study.”

For our academic partners, independent endorsement from NEAS provides assurance that OPSE aligns with recognised standards in online English language teaching, assessment and learner support. It also reflects OIDI’s commitment to continuous improvement and delivering positive outcomes for our students and partners alike.

As demand for flexible, high-quality pathways into higher education continues to grow, endorsements such as NEAS play an important role in providing independent validation and promoting excellence across the sector. Through programmes such as OPSE, we continue to work alongside our partners to help students develop the language, academic and study skills needed to succeed at university.
