The new partnership will provide the National Association of Career Colleges (NACC) network of more than 500 regulated career colleges with access to approved English language programmes from Oxford International Digital Institute (OIDI)’s portfolio, starting with Online Pre-Sessional English (OPSE), the Oxford ELLT and English for Care.
Oxford International Digital Institute (OIDI) has announced a new partnership with NACC, Canada’s national voice for regulated career colleges, which will expand access to English language and academic skills development programmes across the country. The collaboration is designed to support student success, institutional growth and workforce readiness across Canada.
Through the partnership, 150 of the career colleges in NACC’s network will have access to a suite of English language solutions from OIDI. Namely:
- Online Pre-Sessional English, which was recently endorsed by NEAS,
- the award-winning and NEAS-endorsed Oxford ELLT,
- English for Care, a specialised programme designed to develop communication skills for healthcare and care settings.
These programmes have been reviewed and approved by NACC for use across its member institutions.
Building Skills for Canada’s Workforce
The collaboration brings together two organisations with a shared focus on improving access to education, supporting student achievement and addressing evolving workforce needs. As career colleges continue to play an increasingly important role in preparing learners for employment in high-demand sectors, access to high-quality language and academic support has become a critical component of student success.
As demand continues to grow for skilled graduates across key sectors of the Canadian economy, the partnership will provide member career colleges with flexible, online English language options that support both student progression and employment outcomes. OIDI’s programmes are designed to help learners prepare for study, demonstrate English language proficiency and develop communication skills relevant to future employment.
For member career colleges, the partnership provides access to established English language solutions thereby extending support offered to students at different stages of their educational journey and helping meet the needs of increasingly diverse learner populations. For students, it creates accessible routes to developing the language, academic and workplace communication skills required to progress into further study and employment opportunities.
