Exciting Connections and New Partnerships at CBIE 2025

CBIE 2025

Written by Rob Mercer, Partnerships Manager, Canada

Our team at Oxford International Digital Institute had an incredible few days at the 2025 CBIE Annual Conference in Québec City. Ana Perovano, Jamie Matechuk, and Rob Mercer proudly represented OIDI, joining leaders, innovators, and policy-shapers from across the international education landscape. The conversations were rich, the insights powerful, and the opportunities for collaboration truly inspiring.

Building New Partnerships

Throughout the conference, we were delighted to forge new partnerships and deepen existing ones, opening doors for future initiatives that will help us deliver even more flexible, supportive, and accessible learning pathways for students worldwide. These connections will play a central role in shaping the next phase of our digital learning and global admissions work.

A Shared Commitment to Accessibility

A key focus for our team and for many at CBIE was the shared commitment to making international education more accessible, inclusive, and student-centred. As Ana Perovano noted, Accessibility and student support remain central priorities for the sector. Whether through enhanced digital language tools, trauma-informed testing, expanded global hubs, or smarter pathways into higher education, we remain dedicated to removing barriers and ensuring every learner has the chance to succeed.

Inspiration for the Year Ahead

The energy, ideas, and momentum we gained from CBIE 2025 will fuel a number of exciting initiatives in the year ahead. We are grateful to everyone who took the time to meet with us, share perspectives, and co-create new possibilities.
