Course Information

This flexible online programme is structured to fit around work and personal commitments, offering rolling enrolment, six to nine month completion options, and tailored tutor support throughout. With no formal entry requirements, learners aged 19+ can begin building their skills immediately. The course includes access to an online e-portfolio, regular feedback, and drop-in sessions to ensure steady progress from enrolment through to qualification.

Learners will complete the course with a solid understanding of essential areas in adult care, including safeguarding, infection control, person-centred support, communication, equality, and hands-on care practices. A selection of the modules includes:

  • Safeguarding and protection in care settings
  • Communication in care settings
  • Duty of care and handling information
  • Equality, inclusion and personal development
  • Health, safety and wellbeing
  • Infection prevention and control
  • Dementia awareness and person-centred support

This qualification is delivered entirely online, giving learners the flexibility to study at their own pace. Each learner is assigned a dedicated tutor and provided access to an e-portfolio system for submitting work and tracking progress.

Support is available through live chat and email, with regular drop-in sessions for additional guidance. Learners receive timely feedback and marks on assignments, ensuring they stay on track and achieve success.

Six or nine months

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, but learners should be at least 19 years of age.

Successful learners can progress to other qualifications in health and social care, such as Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care.

Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care (England)

This qualification is ideal for learners who have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Care and want to progress to a supervisory or lead role. Delivered online with blended support, the programme equips you with essential skills in safeguarding, person-centred care, communication, health and safety, and leadership. You’ll gain practical knowledge to enhance your professional practice and open doors to senior roles in adult care.

Course Information

English for Care equips care staff with the language skills needed for clearer, more effective interactions with patients and colleagues. By focusing on real-life scenarios and sector-specific vocabulary, the course supports better day-to-day performance and effective teamwork.

The course covers a range of skills, with self-study learning augmented by live sessions. Delivered 100% online with 70-80% self study and 20-30% live online teaching in small classes with an experienced UK teacher. Learners are given the responsibility of self-guided learning and opportunities to practise and reflect on what they have learnt with guidance from one of our expert tutors. By the end of the course, learners will be able to interact more confidently with service users and colleagues, and carry out work-related tasks using more accurate and appropriate language.
