Globally there are two recognised pathways to enable you to start teaching English around the world. These are the Cambridge University CELTA and the Trinity College London CertTESOL. Both are valid certifications (Level 5 UK Qualifications and Credit Framework) and will equip you with a globally recognised qualification. Oxford International is accredited by Trinity College London to deliver the Trinity Certificate in TESOL and the Trinity Diploma in TESOL.

Trinity College London is an independent awarding body and examinations board and has been providing assessments and qualifications around the world since 1877. As part of Oxford International, we work with them to ensure that students receive high-quality and accredited teacher training.
Oxford International is accredited by Trinity College London to deliver the Trinity CertTESOL and Trinity DipTESOL.
Our Teacher Training Short Courses are accredited by the British Council through Accreditation UK which is a quality assurance scheme for UK providers of courses in English as a foreign language (EFL). This is run by the British Council in partnership with English UK. As a member, we are inspected on a four-yearly basis, to ensure we meet the standards. The scheme gives an assurance of quality to international students who are taking or are planning to take an English language course in the UK.

Essentially, they are acronyms referring to the same area of education: TESOL stands for Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, TEFL stands for Teaching English as a Foreign Language.
